Dress the Hive Way
At PS 224 Elementary, our uniform reflects unity, pride, and school spirit. When we all dress the Hive way, we show the world that we belong to something special. We are happy to announce that PS 224 will continue our uniform policy for incoming Kindergarten through 5th grade students for the 2025-2026 school year.

Grades 3K- 2 scholars are expected to wear their gold shirts on Mondays and purple shirts on Tuesdays, Wednesdays, and Thursdays with black pants.
Grades 3- 5 Scholars are expected to wear their gold shirts on Mondays and gray shirts on Tuesdays, Wednesdays, and Thursdays with black pants.
Friday, students can wear clothing of their choice. Students are encouraged to dress age appropriate, suitable to weather conditions when they come to school.
Students should wear comfortable shoes to school and sneakers on days they have Physical Education. Students who do not wear sneakers on P.E. days will not be allowed to participate in gym activities.
Please label jackets, sweatshirts, raincoats, lunchboxes and backpacks with a marker pen, and return clothes borrowed from the school.
